Endometriosis, here's all the care possible
Laparoscopic surgery in specialized centers and new drug therapies. The remedies for women suffering from this disease
Nine years on average for a diagnosis, up to 5-6 different gynecological consultations, several surgeries. Women who have endometriosis often do not know they have it, and when they find out the disease is already at an advanced stage. Specialized centers there are several in Italy (view map built by the Ape) but surgical excellence are few, the Negrar of Verona and St. Orsola in Bologna among others.
The nursing home Malzoni based in Avellino is a reference point for southern Italy and an agreement with the National Health System. Here it can make up to a thousand operations per year in laparoscopy for endometriosis. Mario Malzoni director of advanced pelvic surgery center is also president of the Italian Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
