Introduction

Laparoscopy is a modern surgical technique that our clinic has been using for long time for the treatment of diverse gynecological pathologies . Laparoscopy is surgery that allows gynecologic treatment through small incisions in the skin, without opening the abdominal wall.

With the advantage of technological advancement and the miniaturization of tools it is possible for the surgergical team to carry out the surgery by watching the images on a monitor and using from 2 to 3 very thin tools through small incisions in the lower portion of the abdomen. At the end of surgery, puncture sites are closed with a special derma-glue (that dissolves spontaneously after about one week) or with stitches (that will be removed after about ten days).
